Borrowed Time

It was New Year’s Eve;

Resolution a tradition!

The clock was striking 12;

As we brought open the book,

with the pages all blank.

Exhilarated and bewildered by 2020;

About the enigma of its arrival.

This is going to be my year – we thought;

How naïve! 2020 scoffed.

Resolutions, without an action plan.

Regrets, enveloped and carried forward.

Desire to live like there’s no tomorrow;

But deep down yearning for a brighter one.

Little did we know;

We are living one day at a time;

We are living within the borrowed time!

This is an anecdotal journal of a 25 year old girl, who is a lawyer by profession and has very recently found her true love, being cooking while reminiscing her childhood and penning it down in the most random ways, however, her first love remains to be her loving and ever supportive boyfriend-now-husband. This is an ongoing collection of short sweet stories revolving around food, life, love and lessons.
